I was called from a manager after handing them my application and she called me on the phone and asked me several questions about my schedule and why I would love to work there..and then said she would like if I came for a meet and greet..Sooo was that my first interview? do u think my next one is a group interview?

Mary P.
No that was not your first interview. She called you because you are a candidate & wants to schedule the interview. When you meet her in person, that will be your interview. Make sure you dress nice & do your makeup real nice. And while discussing your experience, etc. say that your schedule is open to work everyday, managers like that you are flexible & dependable. Customer Service is also a big thing at Sephora, express that you are helpful and knowledgeable with products & can deal with complaining customers by putting them to ease. Good luck!

Your first interview might b a group interview depending in how many people they are trying to interview but just make sure that you are yourself. Stress your client service expierence because makeup skills can be learned they are really looking for someone who fits in with the core values u will have another interview if they like you as well as a demo wear all black if possible the biggest thing is to go in being confident and being yourself! Good luck love!!!

Yay! that means you are one of the top choices. Try to bring in a portfolio of the makeup you have done on past clients & if you ever received awards from past employers of anything, bring those in & show it off. Good luck!!

Basically they want you you wi meet with the head lead. And might do a demo or be asked a couple more questions. Second interviews are very good in terms of you basically aced it!

well unfortunately I was hired as seasonal worker and I am pretty sure it's for shipping and stocking for now..that is all they had open but it is a start..Should I really bring portfolio still?

Don't bring a portfolio bring in a resume talking about customer service.

Good luck Evaline! Even if you've been hired as a season employer, this is the best way to get your foot in the door! If you maintain a great work ethic and show interest in other areas of Sephora (able to shipping/stock but show interest in floor sales aswell) you never know what may happen come the end of the season!

I work at the one in Time Square and I know from experience, the ppl with really awesome personalities and work ethic are the ones who they take on board for the rest of the year. So, just be your positive, beautiful self :) and let them know that you're interested in staying too
