Maybe it's me and my cheapness at times, but I think a lot of MAC's products are overpriced. I make a purchase from them once or twice every year. Are there some items that you all have that you think is absolutely worth the price and recommend?

I do love their lipsticks, lip liners, and some of their brushes! But I don't tend to buy them as much anymore since I've discovered some other drugstore and high end favorites. Its not that I think they're overpriced, I just feel underwhelmed by a lot of their products since I've explored more of the beauty world. I will gladly pay that money for great products, but other brands seem to "wow" me more than MAC (or maybe I just forget about them since they aren't sold in Ulta or Sephora where I do most of my shopping).

I agree with you Natalie..maybe that is my case. I do buy a lot of products from Ulta and Sephora and when I go to MAC, I'm just like "eh!", but I do love their lipsticks..I just bought candy yum yum after eyeing it for awhile lol.

Hi Angel,
For me personally I find that MAC has high quality brushes at a reasonable price. I live in Australia, and here MAC prices are virutally doubled and in some cases tripled to UK or USA prices. that's why I like to really think hard about mac purchases prior to buying. Like I said, I find that their brushes are amazing; extremely soft and dense. I really love the 168 187 109 I hope this helps with your mac spending spree!

Their blushes, pigments, lipstick, prolong wear concealer and eyeshadow are all necessities for my day to day use.

I love their lipsticks and prolong concealer more then their eyeshadows. I have quite a few of their blushes and I don't think they are that great for brown skin.

Most of my make-up is from MAC lol , I love it , but if I can find a drug store dupe that's better for me. one thing I WON't buy from the drug store is foundation , & I loveeee MAC's studio fix fluid ( I like how it smells too) & their recycling thing that they do is awesome , you get a free lipstick for every 5 empty containers you bring to them :)

Definitely their blushes, love them! And their lipsticks are great too but I'm pretty sure there are lots of dupes for that.

MAC Foundations is a very big hit or miss in the beauty world. Some people refuse to use them or have them in their kits because they believe it causes them to break out. For me, MAC foundations is the only foundation I can use that doesn't break me out. I use the Mineralize Moisture liquid foundation, and it's well worth the $35 price tag. Along with that, their Prolongwear liquid concealer is a must-have at $18. It's SO creamy and covers everything under the sun.
The third is MAC lipsticks. Their color range and quality can't be beat. Yes, there are color dupes out there, but they do not match up to pigmentation/formula of MAC, in my opinion.
I believe everything else by MAC can be closely duped. I find my Wet n Wild blushes from the drug store to be FAR more pigmented than my MAC blushes, at a fraction of the price (I think I paid like $2-3 for mine, as opposed to $21 for MAC) I also think that there are powders, eyeshadows and brushes out there of good if not better quality than MAC that aren't as costly.
Sooooooo, to sum it up. Top 3 "Worth it Items"
-Foundation
-Pro Longwear Concealer
-Lipsticks

The only thing I've ever been drawn to enough from MAC to actually buy is their lipsticks. I only have one but I would buy another from them and I really enjoy the one I have (Chatterbox). Nothing else from them really excites me though.
