Eyeshadow.. Is It Too Much?

I believe if you feel pretty its okay :) I wear full out eyeshadow and everything to school sometimes. some people think its to much but I love doing makeup and It makes me feel pretty so I do it anyway. you're not the only one with this problem! I believe you should keep doing it thou :)

I'm sorry to hear that your family doesn't support you, that must be so hurtful. =[ Maybe you could try explaining to them that you don't do it to gain or get reactions or anything, but because it's something you enjoy doing!
I always wear bright eyeshadow, and some people say 'You don't need all that makeup.' I know I don't NEED it, but I enjoy wearing it, and applying it makes me happy!

My family has a double standard. My mom wears makeup and eye shadow every time we go out but still asks me why I wear so much makeup. But your makeup looks great. Dont let them get you down. Just ignore their comments because it your life, your face, do what you want (:

Always do what YOU want & what makes you feel good! I wear dark, heavy smokey eyes constantly & that's not every ones cup of tea, but I feel great when I wear it. To be honest, I could care less what any one thinks because it makes me feel amazing & that's worth it.

Remember this: In the end, the confidence your makeup gives you is SO much better than the approval people would give you if you wore looks that you don't like. When it comes to YOUR body, your opinion come first!

I think if you're happy with the way you look that's all that matters. I also wear full eyeshadow to school, not in bright green but people compliment me on it. Some people may say I don't need it, but I agree with all of you, it makes me feel complete and put together. However, my family always shows support so maybe you could explain to your family how much you love doing it! I'm sure if they knew it was your passion they wouldn't bash it. Keep up the beautiful makeup, all of you! :*

I totally understand what you're going through. The first 5 or so times that I came out with bright colored eyeshadow, lashes, or a bold lip, my parents were shocked and told me it was 'too much'. I basically ignored their comments and now they're so used to it that not much can shock them anymore. I think your family just needs to get used to seeing you like that. So my advice is to keep doing what you love, your family should support you.

Looking pretty is all about how you feel about yourself. Myself personally; I tend to stick to one bold thing on my face. It could be my eyeshadow or lip, but just one. I get stares at my son's elementary school for wearing a deep red lip at 8 am on a Tuesday, but who cares! If I feel good, I radiate that. So wear what you WANT not what others deem as "appropriate" or not.

Like everyone said its important to be yourself :}
If yew like they way your makeup looks then that's all that should matter. Of course it is nice to get your family's approval,but everybody has different opinions so they all wont be the same.
Be daring and wear your awesome possum colors :D that's what makes yew "yew". Never change for anybody but yourself.
