I just bought proactiv+ and I just wanted to know how it worked for other people because for me it was getting better but then I broke out a little bit... Is the whole "it gets worse before it gets better" true?

Are you talking about proactiv solution? If so, it worked miracles for me, but only for four months then it all went downhill.

I highly don't recommend proactive. I haven't used it in years so I'm not sure about the newer stuff but my skin is permanently damaged after using it for only 2 weeks. It seems like everyone who uses it gets really bad breakouts when they stop using it. Proactive uses benzoyl peroxide which is meant to get rid of current acne but it does not actually treat it. It's very bad to use on your skin because it actually slowly eats away at your skin and bleaches the skin. It might not be that noticeable but it has long term effects and takes years to repair.

I had some sort of reaction to it after just a few days. It made me breakout a lot worse and I got these itchy red bumps all over. Its also very drying. I did give it to a friend of mine after that and it worked pretty well for her during the first month and a half, but then it didn't really do anything after that other than dry out her skin.

Its got bleach in it so I now don't use it and also bevause it made my skin dry and made me get more pimples.

When I tried it, it did make my skin worse before it got better... However I stopped using it as it made my skin dry and very red. I believe it has too many chemicals in it, I prefer less harsh products.
