Does anyone know any secret tips on how to get rid of my razor burns and bumps?

I've heard that rubbing a deodorant stick I've the spots you've shaved helps prevent those nasty buggers.

I need help with this as well I always get them on my legs EVERY TIME that I shave them :( apparently shaving them in a hot bath is better than the shower but that's the only tip I've heard

I heard moisturizing helps and maybe a cream specialized for it...

Or shaving with shaving cream cause I always get bumps dry shaving or shaving with just soap depending on how sensitive you skin is.. I guess.

To avoid bumps exfoliate with a body scrub before shaving. I like to use a non-foamy shave gel/cream. I find ones that stay as a gel or cream work better. For some reason the foaming ones drag on my skin sometimes. I use Alba cream shave gel and its great. The less you use the better the results are. Then when I'm done I use a body butter that has alpha hydroxy acids in it that help keep away ingrown hairs and bumps. I use the "butter yourself" one from Soap & Glory and ingrowns are a thing of the past. I haven't had any since using it. I use it every day even if I don't shave. Just make sure to use sunscreen because AHAs can make skin more sensitive to sun.

And if you do use cream and lotion on your legs don't use those harsh scented ones! They will probably just irritate your skin more.

Idk why I said legs but I meant where ever you have the razor burn.

When I exfoliate first I get even worst razor bumps because it's opening up your pores and having bare skin. Which can be harmful if you don't do it super gentle. I would try going in the direction the hair grows, Witch hazel and aloe gel or neoposporin, they all have helped my razor bumps fade and go away quicker.

Use tea tree and vitamin E oil! It works wonders!

Try exfoliating before shaving and I only shave when I take a bath because its just easier. Also try washing hair or body first and then shave last, that way the hot water will help open up pores and make the hair follicles softer and easier to shave. For exfoliation, I take about 3/4 cup of sugar (granualted or cane, just whatever you have) and 1/4 cup of coconut oil, I use Spectrum Extra Virgin and I heat it up to make it softer (don't melt it though!) and mix the two together. You can also shorten the recipe and do 2/3 or 1/3, just whatever you want, and I put the mixture in a cup or container (it will dry out though) and I just take a little bit and apply all over my skin and then rinse off and then shave. It makes my skin super soft and after that I put lots of lotion on

Also baby oil gel (I like the aloe vera) helps too on burns and vitamin e oil as well.
