That's because Vaseline is a sealer, not a moisturizer. Try Aquaphor, works like a charm. Otherwise try Nivea Lip Butters, Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment...all good options.

Well even so, just use was Hannah suggested. I've used lip moisturizers on my face (side of my nose) and it worked.

Do you moisturize your face? And have you've eaten anything spicy? I know what you mean... I gotten it before! Exfoliate and moisturize the area... and make sure you use a strong moisturizer.

Dude I had practically the sahara desert on my face and simply touching it felt like fire. But you HAVE to stick out the burning because if you want it gone you have to moisturize homie.
