Olive Oil In Hair?

So I been hearing and reading people put olive oil in their hair for treatment.
I would just like to know if any of you girls done this before and what it did for you? Also how you do you put it in your hair without making a mess , use it hot or cold and how do you rinse it out like won't it leave hair oily? If any of you girls did this before I would highly appreciate an answer :) thank you

I have done hot oil treatment at home with olive oil. warm it up in microwave slightly. and then dip two fingers at a time and nicely massage the scalp first and move to the strands. I leaves your hair softer and shiny. If you shampoo well there won't be any residue from oil. and also if you are worried about mess after leaving it on, use a shower cap to keep oil or hair out of your face during application time. leave in hair for 1 hour

It's very good I use it before every shower I live in Jordan its one of the top countries when it comes to olive oil production I advise you to mix it with honey btw olive oil is the secret of long healthy thick hair
