You're going to lose eyelashes no matter what you do. they fall out like hair when they're ready. however, I use MUFE sensitive eye cleanser & it takes all my eye makeup off (waterproof included) with barely any pressure/rubbing on the eye, so lash loss is minimal :3

Well this is what I do. Maybe you can give it a try. I rub it off very gently with my finger using warm water then once a majority is off I rub jergens lotion around my eye then use toilet paper to take the rest off.

You should not be losing loads. It sounds like you are rubbing too hard.Baby lotion on cotton wool is a really effective way to remove all makeup.I usually just use cetaphil cleanser and all my makeup is removed.

Make sure you DONT use waterproof mascara it really dries out your lashes and will cause them to fall out only use for crying occasions... After taking off makeup moisturize your lashes at night with castor oil, tea tree oil or sweet almond oil I've been doing this for months and my lashes have gotten longer and thicker and fall out less.

When I wear mascara that's somewhat hard to remove, I like to use petroleum jelly because it's gentler on the eyes and helps remove the mascara without tugging the lashes. It may take more time, but you will not be losing as much lashes, if any.
