Soo I've been hearing and seeing people praising tea tree oil for skin. Does it really clear skin and can you clean your face with face wash that has it inside? Isn't oil bad for skin and make you break out? Confused..

Oil being bad for your skin is a common misconception. Castor, tea tree, almond, and jojoba are all extremely good for acne prone skin because they contain antibacterial properties. Tea tree happens to be one of the strongest. It's most efficient as a spot treatment :) I have extremely sensitive skin but I don't dilute the tea tree oil because I find that it doesn't irritate my skin. When buying tea tree oil make sure to get it from a health food store and triple check that its pure. Some less expensive brands add in mineral oils and such which do breakout your skin! Good luck

I thought tea tree oil was helping my skin when I was spot treating and adding it to my mask, face wash, and moisturizers. it seem like it was getting better at first then my skin started breaking out like crazy. I do not reccomend getting straight tea tree oil from the drugstore. it needs to be diluted and using it straight on the skin can cause burns and scars. If you want to try tea tree oil I would recommend the one from the body shop b.c its diluted :)
