I learned everything I know about oil cleansing from here. I used to oil cleanse, but I immediate switched to the double cleansing where I use an oil blend for my skin to remove makeup and a regular cleanser to rinse the oil and makeup off. I prefer that over the traditional oil cleansing method.

I tired several different oil combinations for an oil cleanse. your skim description sounds like mine, although I have meds that play a part in my acne. I tired oil washing for 4 months and it seemed to make things worse. so now I use a baking soda and honey mask that I gently rub in a circular motion for 30 seconds and let sit until it starts to fall off, green tea toner (jus good old steeped green tea kept in the fridge) and jojoba oil very sparingly as a moisturizer. seems to work out better. although I do agree that oil seems to break down makeup pretty well! I hope it works out better for you!
