It prevents you from getting more spots and helps clears the ones you already have! I also suggest you get tea tree oil from the body shop, just for spots and it will clear up fast!

If you crush up like 7 aspirin really well, and mix it with a little lemon juice so it's like pasty, then put it all over your face for 10 minutes and wipe it off with a wet towel then put baking soda on a cotton ball and spead on your face and then rinse it off. If you do that right before you go to sleep, it will clear your face up ALOT over night.

Origins Clear Improvements Charcoal mask is really good for clearing pores. It doesn't burn or tingle or sting the way some masks I've tried have.

Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur mask is no joke. I used it years ago but my daughter now uses it for her acne once a week. And it really takes care of the acne and clears out the pores. Minus the $69 price tag.
