It's like a cultural thing. Especially in the African American community, wearing our natural curls is frown upon and getting a relaxer or extensions is promoted. I have the second option only because my mom (whose a hairstylist and cares for my real hair) refuses the let me go natural. I think all hair textures are beautiful. What looks more attractive varies on the person.

You should wear your curls :) they're gorgeous and don't use heat by straightening your hair... everyone has straight hair so I always wear mine naturally and get lots of compliments (mine's curly similar to yours)! a lot of my guy friends say they prefer natural girls and think those curls are attractive, so definitely go for it :)

My natural hair is really wavy and curly. However, I wear extensions & straighten it, curl it, crimp it, etc. Personally I prefer my "fake" hair over my natural curly hair. But on the days I go extension free with no heat on my hair, everyone else loves it. I like both straight and curly. I get a lot of sh!t for not being "natural." (Extensions, acrylic nails, makeup) Wear your hair the way you want, regardless of anyone's opinions.

Curls! I don't why straight hair is glorified compared to curls. Remember Chris Rocks movie Good Hair? All hair is gorgeous (unless severely damaged ECT) but I know that when I straighten my hair, it reaches my bum, and I get told that I look better that way and that I'm prettier with straight hair. It makes me upset that it's only one type of hair considered beautiful. Sometimes I want to relax my hair so I can get a boyfriend because I know guys look at me more when my hair is straight. But then I realize that if I want a boyfriend , he should like my personality not just my physical appearance. So I want straight hair but I don't at the same time.

Straight hair isn't necessarily more attractive. In my opinion, I like curly hair way better because it's so pretty! Straight hair is so boring because I see it everywhere. Girls literally straighten their hair to death. It's rather stupid. Your curls are gorgeous, by the way. Wish I had hair like yours! Way jealous :D.
