I recently used foundation on my face. I then ended up getting a huge allergic reaction, a red rash all over my face.
Never using that again!
The rash only lasted a few days. Its gone now.
Do you think it would he okay to start using my old makeup stuff again (such as concealer and highlighter) on my face? I've been using them for a full year now.
Just making sure nothing will happen to my face once I start up my normal makeup again after the accident!
Thank you!

Keep your face clean for right now. It's happened to me. Wear as little as possible- really just the essentials, for a while to let your skin breathe and heel. Also use a light lotion that won't make your face greasy. I would stick to eye liner and mascara for a while until you can make sure to stay safe.

Oh, and wash your brushes :)

Yeah I think it will. It may have just been an allergic reaction to something in the foundation.

I would stay away from that brand of foundation since probably you had an allergic rxn to the ingredients they use - read the label and try to figure out what made that foundation different from your other products n steer clear of those ingredients - something that might help is a cosmetic ingredient analyzer found on this website: cos.dna/eng you can input the name or ingredients list and it will tell you if there are any obvious skin allergins in it.

Definitely give your skin a little while longer before going back into your old lineup. I experienced the same thing too many times to count (pointing my finger at all MAC foundations). After each experience I didn't wear makeup for at least two weeks. Just kept it simple with basic cleanser, moisturizer and toner. I didn't even use my treatment products like serums and masks.

Thanks everyone! I'll just use my essentials of mascara and concealer, hopefully it'll be alright!
