I'm planning on dyeing the bottom half of my hair a cool color. I wanna use Manic Panic Amplified since I can find that in stores easily. I can't bleach my hair so what color of theirs would actually show up somewhat or vividly in my brown hair?? I'm open to any color!

Reds or purples seem to work without bleaching but will only give you red or purple tones, no bright colours will do much over unbleached hair though.

Sallys has special hair dye for darker hair if you wanna go lighter.

And drug store hair dye Kills your hair. It may be cheap but it's bad, you never know how long it's been on the shelf for Sallys changes them and it doesn't damage as bad it's a bit pricier but worth it. Oh! And their dyes last longer if your not to sure still.. They have organic hair dye as well.

Woops one more thing drug store hair dyes it doesn't always come out the color you want it, at sallys they help you and tell you their honest opinion.

But sometimes the ladies at sallys inform you the wrong information. Happen to me so much where I stopped asking them. Just do your research or go to a professional.

Emily, in order to achieve the color to show vividly is to pre lighten it. You can try the manic panic, I never used their products. Just conduct some research about manic panic and look on youtube to see if there are any ladies that had brown hair and used that product to have such vivid color.

Not all Workers at sallys do that, try sallys and if you don't like their info do research or go to a salon.

Color demi-permanent dye and our turned out really cool! Obviously it wasn't going to turn out like the pictures that are shown since I didn't bleach first but it still turned out amazing. I used their color purple punch and it gave the bottom half of my hair a very subtle hint of purple in regular lights. with the subtle hint, the bottom half is also much darker and looks dark dark brown which I'm alright with. The unnatural color isn't super noticeable until the hair gets hit with light from the right angle. From there it varies from looking a reddish purple, to dark blue, fairly vivid purple, and almost black. I love how much variety is in it all because I didn't bleach! an added bonus for me is that it blends really well with the rest of my hair, the parts I didn't dye purple. I'll use their dyes again probably, just because I like the mystery of never knowing what exactly you are going to get :D P.S strangely enough, it made my hair smell like bubble gum...
