Maybe if you paint it a lighter color it would open up the space. If you can't paint it try moving some things around to a Better set up...?

I would do what Yolande said. Tumblr is perfect for bedroom ideas, when I move down into my basement (when it's finished) I'm going to use "Tumblr bedrooms" for inspiration. :)

Think of a colour scheme for your bedroom. A lighter colour for your walls will really make your roon seem bigger. Also, do a massive clean up and get rid of anything you don't want or don't see any use for it anymore.

Lighter colour...you can paint your furniture white or black...and walls with cute decorations.

Lighter walls, Christmas lights, poster, pictures, and curtains would be amazing!
