I'm a beauty advisor at Ulta and since we've started the Holiday season, I have guests asking me things I recommend or if I've ever tried a certain product they're looking at.
We carry so much stuff it's impossible to try EVERYTHING
so I thought I'd ask some of you what are some of your favorite things and why? =]

Offer starter kits and ask if they do want to look into foundations or if they like a certain brand. Maybe offer to do their make up an see what products they might like from that?

I'm not prestige so I can't actually do someones makeup. Our prestige artists get 15 minutes with each guest but our salon offers makeup lessons.
I just need to get an idea of what brands and products people are really happy with so when someone comes up and asks me "what's a good mascara" or "what's a good foundation" I'll know what to say haha

I love the macadamia oil mask, ulta's nectarine and mint hand soaps/body wash, tree hut coconut body scrub and pretty much all of ulta's hair products (joico, living proof, etc). Oh and Ulta Brand nail polish is great too! Foundation wise Urban Decay Naked skin is great and buildable, benefit they're real is a great mascara. Hope this helps!

The best thing about ULTA is all of there kits, from the starter kits to just the kits with sample size items. Its a great way to try so many options without having to pay the full cost. Benefit offers some really great sets for someone who is looking to try something new.

Awesome, thanks for that! whenever someone asks for a cheaper alternative I'm always like uhh... lol I haven't even tried the naked skin line yet since I'm loyal to my diorskin bb but since I'm getting an associate appreciation discount I think Ill pick up a trial size =]

Essence bronzer is good as well as some of their blushes and urban decay 24/7 pencil liner in zero is awesome in the waterline for no smudging. Anastasia brow wiz. Cargo lengthen•curl•volumize mascara is awesome for straight lashes that won't stay curled. NYX HD loose powder and single shadows. Too faced shadow insurance and their lipsticks are amazing as well as urban decay lippies (: Also amazing cosmetics under eye concealer is the bomb diggity! If anyone still says that lol. Hope this helps!
