So there is a lot of brand loyalty out there, and especially on here. I see a lot of people suggest the same thing to several people, and that's not a bad thing.
Sometimes I feel like I'm missing something. Some of the things that everybody seems to love, I loathe. For example: I really dislike Urban Decay. I have tried a lot of their products and it just doesn't work for me. I get a lot of fall out, a lot of creasing, and a lot of movement with almost all of their products. Their color payoff is great, but I usually like my eyeshadow on my eyelids, not my cheeks! :) I've been suggested their 24/7 eyeliners so many times. I have never had an eyeliner move so much and pretty much every liner I use moves on me.
So, what do you have the unpopular opinion of?

The naked palette...sure it's great but overrated! Too glittery and it creases a lot

Urban Decay's 24/7 pencil eyeliners. While they may be fab on the lashline, for me, they suck on the waterline. My Prestige eyeliners, which are roughly 1/3 the price (around $5.50 each), have better staying power.
@Rikki...

Ditto most of the Coastal Scents palettes. And the ones sold by Crown Brush. And Sedona Lace. And other places. They're all the same generic palettes you can buy on eBay, sometimes for less, often with free shipping, and I don't buy for a nanosecond that they're amazing. Not to mention I have no use for most of the colours.

I'm guilty of buying the BH palette. I think it's one of those- ya get what ya pay for deals. Some of them I like, some of them I am not a huge fan of. Some of them I never use. Eh... I don't hate it as much as some other stuff I have tried, but I don't love it.

MAC. I mean, some of their products are amazing, yes. But everything? No. Their eyeshadows aren't really anything special to me. Their face products, eh.
Everyones always like OMGZ MAC MAC IS THE BEST I BUY EVERYTHING MAC!
And yes, some things are worth it! But every single thing in your kit? There are much better brands and replacements for some MAC products, they're just lesser known!

There is one good purpose and that's Halloween makeup, lol. I used the red to do "blood" all over my arm and my face and was pretty damn good. But when I want to do really nice eyeshadow looks like I normally do, it's just craaaaaaaaaaaaaaap.

MAC is just... lol. I like their permanent stuff alright and some brushes, but ugh. With all these collections they keep pumping out the past two years or however long it's been since they've been doing this crap, the brand has been going downhill. Urban Decay is going down the MAC route, tbh.
I haven't bought from them in a year or so anyway and will continue to not buy from them.

I think brands like UD and MAC become well known and people forget that there are other things out there. MAC is another one for me too- I do like their brushes and pigment, but everything else lacks excitement for me. I feel like its the same old thing. Like when I see a UD palette, the first thing that goes through my mind is oh there's a palette with like one new color and sixty seven repeats.
Ashley! Please do post! I love when I see something I don't know about. I am like super nosey, I need to know these things! Do not hesitate!

Ashley, I love using indie brands! It makes me so sad that I can't review most of them on here, because beautylish doesn't even have them on here as a brand at all!

I agree as well. I see all the gurus talk about the same product and when I use it it never works for me and what makes it worse is how much I spend on it. Just o find out on their next tutorial they use different products

Yes! I'm guilty of that toooooooo! I see them use something and I'm like "I need that." Lol. Then it doesn't work as well for me.
