I will have a picture but my face seems dry with patches. It won't stop being red either. It hurts. All I did was put toothpaste on my pimples like the night before( nothing happened that night) and it just stung really bad but I am not putting it on tonight. I am moisturizing like crazy, but nothing is soothing the redness.... Please help I have combo/oily skin and it won't go away!!

first of all do NOT use a scrub it will only irritate your skin further use a liquid or bar cleanser also if you use a lot of the same brand you are probably allergic to it I am this way with beauty control i recomend using your hands to wash your face and put a topical ( not tropical theres a difference) cream on your face a few times a day good luck girlie

Put raw honey on your face as a spot treatment. Natural is the best way to go. For a face mask mix 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg , 1 teaspoon honey all together until its a paste and put all over your face and leave on for 30 minutes then rinse off. If you have allergies to any of those then obviously don't so it. Also don't forget to test it on a small part of your face before you put it all over your face. Hope this helps!

Some ingredient in the toothpaste must not agree with your skin, and it took this long to react to it.
I recommend using a spot treatment that's specifically meant for blemishes. Burt's Bees makes a rollerball one that I really like. Alba has one in gel form. As for your face, switch to a cleanser that's a bit more gentle.

To help sooth and reduce the redness, smear yogurt all over your face and leave it on for 20 min. Use plain yogurt, and don't use it if you're sensitive or allergic to dairy. Hope that helps! Use a actuspot treatment
instead of toothpaste and it will be more gentle on your face.

I was recommended to wash using a flannel and a simple bar of soap morning and night and using a gentle moisturiser if my skin was really dry. My skin cleared up within 3 days and I've never had a problem since.

Don't use scented soap on that... it'll make it worse... use a plain moisturizer, like vaseline. go to the doctor.

This is why you aren't supposed to put toothpaste on your face. I know hindsight is 20/20 but toothpaste isn't meant for your skin. Especially if it's a whitening one or something. My best advice for you would be to get a very gentle cleanser, like Cetaphil, and keep moisturizing morning and night. And I know you probably want to cover the irritated areas with makeup, but that'll probably just make it worse. Just try to ride this out and see a dermatologist if things don't seem to get better in a few weeks. I hope everything gets sorted out soon.

I would switch to oil cleansing until it clears up. I wouldn't use anything scented or anything that has detergents in it while your skin is that irritated. There are lots of vids on YouTube for how to do oil cleansing if you are unsure.

It honestly looks like an allergic reaction. Maybe take a benedryl? I would seek professional advise if it doesn't clear up soon!

You asked this 4 days ago so hopefully it's all cleared up, but I honestly would go to the doctor if it's not. You tried a home remedy and it didn't work so I wouldn't go trying another one. Just leave it alone probably.

Hey. Ive had exactly the same problem in the recent year, but i can perhaps give you some advice as a beauty therapist and these are things that i learned to do to improve my skin. First, try and tackle the redness as youre skin looks sensitized atm. Use a really gentle cleanser with soothing properties. Only exfoliate once to twice a week as this will stimulate your skin to make more oil, therefore, more spots. Try to not squeeze youre spots because this can spread them further. Use an oil free moisturiser. Although your skin maybe oily, its still needs to be kept hydrated with a good moisturiser with water only. I know exactly what youre going through. Maybe treat yourself to a nice facial and relax ;) x

I had red blotchy skin & my mom told me to start using an oatmeal scrub then clean with witch hazel & peroxide & follow w/ a cocoa butter moisturizer. I've been doing this for a couple of months now and its worked wonders. I wish I had a before & after. But my moms old school remedy worked.

Toothpaste is not friends with the face. I personally suffer from oily skin. Nubian Heritage African Black Soap is a life saver! While you may have oily skin, be sure to use a moisturizer after it because it can be extremely drying. Try to find a moisturizer that has benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in it and make sure it's oil-free. About twice a week, use a mint julep mask. Leaves your skin super smooth and soft. Has a soothing effect as well. Hope you find your solution!!
