I stopped biting my nails after I started painting them.. It took a lot of work for me to paint them so I didn't want to ruin it!

Don't wear acrylics. There really isn't anything to stop it except self discipline and distracting yourself. When you want to bite your nails, find a small healthy snack, like a carrot, to bite on. I used to bite my nails to the point where they started to bleed. I stopped biting by seeing all these girls with pretty long nails, and I wanted that too. Push back your cuticles everyday, and don't think about it. You can do it :)
