graftobian has some really great cream hd foundation palette too

I swear by Illamasqua's Skinbase foundation. They're liquid with awesome coverage but still light like powder. Powder off with setting powder for a more matte effect. It also has BB Cream technology. I've been a freelance MUA for about 4 years and I only have 3 different shades at most. Light, medium and dark. This is a good way to train yourself in mixing the different colors to match your client's skin.

My kit is now full of cinema secrets foundation palettes, it is perfect for photographing, I do a lot of weddings so that was my main concern, the palettes make it easy to mix the perfect shade too, if you get 3-4 you can cover basically every colour, they are a cream foundation which took me a little to get used to because I've always used liquids but they are great quality and once you know how to apply them it's great. I set mine with Ben nye translucent powder, because it's a cream, setting it is pretty necessary. I carry the translucent one and banana one.
Hope that was somewhat helpful for you, good luck with your career :) xx

Hello MUAs! <3

I'm beginning my adventure as a freelance makeup artist!

I'd just like to know what foundations you guys have in your kit. When I was at beauty college I was trained with Youngblood mineral makeup~ but I'm not sure that I liked it too much and I dont have too much experience with other brands such as MAC etc

My main concerns are
- great coverage
- flashback

And also tips on maybe how many foundations I should carry around with me to start off with would be great too :) eg: should I try to carry liquid, loose powder and/or pressed powder foundations if I can~~ aaah! there's so many things! I've been doing a lot of research but I guess I'd just like to hear what you guys think!

Thanks girlies!

Em xx

(ps If I havent been clear enough with what I'm asking please let me know <3 )
