I use the revlon colorstay in 45 it stays the best out of all that I have tried but there are also ways to take care of colored hair that will make it last a bit longer as well...what color are you going for.

I'm getting a dark ash brown.. When I dye my hair a dark ash brown it turns into a light light brown after a whole.

Hmm I've never done brown only red the only thing I can offer is if you find a color you think you might want to try look up reviews and after picks before buying to see if it comes out true to color.

And I use a pigmented shampoo I know they have one in red and blond not sure about brown...keeps the color from fading as quick and another tip is to keep your hair good and moisturized I use the L'Or?al hair mask as well...do t know if any of that helps or not but I hope so.

Wella...its a little bottle you mix with creme developer
its what they will use if you go into a salon
honestly the only thing that will be true to color and last a long time my hair has never faded and I tried different colors on my hair from dark to light

I would recommend that you dye your hair a shade darker than you want it to be so when it fades it fades into the color you want it to be :)

I use loreal preference and it is *amazing*
it just doesn't fade! I dye my hair dark red and with all the other brands I used it tuned weird ginger but with this it maybe lightens up about helf a tone after a month or so but other then that it stays perfect!
