Steam your face 3 times a week, this will open up your pores and using a whitehead extractor you can remove. Do for a month and you will see a huge difference. Also to make you skin smooth use a good exfoliating scrub like besan and honey. You try cetaphil facewash its gentle, non drying.

You can also try lush facewashses. I don't know how it works but many women swear by it.

Use a gentle cleanser like CeraVe foaming cleanser. I have combo skin, and it works great without drying me out and making my skin produce more oil. Like the other ladies mentioned, Cetaphil is good too, but I didn't care for it personally. To make your skin supple and smooth you need to exfoliate and moisturize. Chemical exfoliation is best, I recommend the st Ives scrub free exfoliating pads. They're mild and good for beginners. You can also use physical exfoliation (clarisonic, wash cloth, scrubs) but limit to 2x per week. A good moisturizer will keep your skin smooth and hydrated, you'll have to experiment with what works for you. Since I have combo skin I use 2 different moisturizers. I really recommend Clinique and CeraVes moisturizers. Oh, and also, steaming your face doesn't "open pores" pores do not open or close, they're not muscles lol. You can use a spot treatment like salicylic acid for any clogged pores and white heads. It "degunks" the pore, and gets everything out. I hope this helps :)
