Light nude/pink colors help make your lips look bigger but it really depends on your skin tone.

Don't use glossy colors (gloss just makes your lips look more plump), but another thing you could do is line your lips slightly outside of your lipline, fill it in with the same color, and then go over it with your lipstick. That should help.
