I haven't used sigma brushes yet! MAC is good!! Cheaper alternative is real technique by Samantha Chapman!! They're really good and affordable.

I would say go for real technique brushes... Mac brushes are good but waaay over priced. If you really wanna get Mac brushes then wait till they have the limited edition sets, they cost alot lesser (though the handles are a lil shorter)

IMO, invest in at least a MAC 239 and 217.

If you want to talk overpriced, look at Suqqu. By comparison, MAC brushes are a bargain.

some brushes from MAC like the 217 brush you can easily dupe for sigma E40 brush I think, but if you buy them in a set is better sigma, mac is good but I'd say if you need to get a brush in particular is the flat shader brush amazing brush the 239 I beliave.
but for face there are quite a few companies nowadays that make great quality quality brushes, like real techniques or sedona lace, CrownBrush.

I love Mac but I also am on a budget so I've found ecotools are pretty awesome especially for the price

I love my sigma brushes for a more affordable option but nothing beats Mac brushes in my opinion
