So I hugged my friend and I saw my makeup powder on his shirt!
I'm mortified.
Why did this happen? I put on a setting spray this morning. How can I make sure this never happens?

I'm not sure what you did this morning, but maybe you sprayed a bit too much spray on. I'm not sure. Just wondering! 😳😁

Happened to me before! Hugged a guy wearing a BLACK hoodie. It was orange! He didn't notice and I didn't say anything. But I was sooo embarrassed. It probably has to do with the powder you're using. If you have oily skin, that could also be the issue. My advice is to change your powder (if you use one), If you're oily, blot your skin. And just be careful when you hug people! That's what I did and never had this problem since.

An old fashioned loose setting powder. Loose ones have better setting properties in my experience. Laura mercier's original formula one (its just called translucent) is the best thing I've ever used. I've literally slept at people's houses after a night out and none of my face rubbed off on pillows or pyjamas. That stuff is the business.

Arghh..girl,once my bf gave a peck on my forehead and said it felt bitter and oily!!what could be more embarassing :3 though he just found it amusing somehow :p and I chnged my foundation.. well I think you're wearing too much makeup or what just Amanda said!

And btw, any guy who tries to harp on you wearing makeup, tell him to go suck it. If society and men didn't demand that women look magazine perfect, we wouldn't feel the pressure to.

I think you put on your face too much or using liquid foundation a lot. I recommend you to use pawder one. and also try to not stick your face on someones shirt.lol.

I once faked tanned my legs for a night out.. Even put bronzer on to give them that extra glow. upon leaving this club I decided to do the typical tipsy girl thing and get my boyfriend to carry me to the taxi on his back..
-Now I must add he had just bought a rather expensive branded white shirt for this particular shindig... Anyway the next morning upon waking up and him seeing his brand new expensive shirt covered in bright orange around the cuffs arms and back, it's safe to say he went ape!!
...Me? I just blamed it on the fact he was dancing too close to other Girls!...and a particular girl (I disliked)... Yep I blamed it on her haha! "Shouldn't of given her a cuddle should you" ;)

mwahaha! Thus just reminded me of this story! So evil just had to share! Tee hee! :)

Oh and his shirt was fine, I washed if And it was sparkly white and lovely again... What a drama queen Haaha!

But my answer to your question.. try not use too much powder, it's the powder that does it :) use a blotting sponge if you have to use loose powder or just use a little pressed powder to finish :) x

Thanks everyone! So I think I figured the problem. I usually use a translucent powder after my foundation BUT the only powder I had was like a regular powder and I put that on. I did put a setting spray thinking that would help and prevent this.
Also I had not blotted for like hours and I do tend to get oily.
Thanks for all the tips, I'll definitely use less foundation though, just in case. And never use regular powder to set my makeup!
