I would really like a brighter colour possibly magenta or a red but really dont want to be too fussed with having to re-do it a lot or ruining my hair.
Can anybody offer advice as to how much maintenance a colour such as magenta would be like? Or products that will prolong the time it takes between dying it and the colour fading?
Thanks in advance :)

First, you are rocking that purple!
I've had my hair the color in my pic for about 8 years. What I do is instead of bleaching, I use Loreal high color hilights in magenta as a base, then glaze with manic panic. This makes my base red, as opposed to blonde, so you don't notice the fade so much. I can usually go about 6-8 weeks between colorings.
I use Deva Care No Poo which is a sulfate free cream shampoo. No foam. That also helps because it's not stripping the color off.
