Ladies n Gent...how do you keep your liquid foundation on your face? let me explain. I use liquid foundation since I have a lot of dark spots. I cover em up...then "set" with powder. And there I go leaving the house thinking..."alright, I did pretty good today" and boom! my face randomly itches and I gently pat...and bam...my hand has makeup all over it. what can I do to keep it on my face n not melting and staining everything else?

What kind of foundation and setting powder are you using? Are you applying any facial products prior to your foundation?

Have you tried a setting spray rather than a powder?

Velen I've seen you talk so much about CG3n1 that I actually need to buy it! Everything you describe sounds like what I need in my life lol.

Yes I have had this issue. My makeup would just slide off. It's turned purity was my serum that was doing it. Love Cover Girl 3 in 1. I set with powder and a setting spray.

I have the SAME problem!! I couldn't even bear to wear liquid foundation, I always went with powder. But just the other day I found my holy grail item. Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo foundation with 24 hour wear.
It's full coverage, and a little goes a long way, but if you get a great color match you only have to use it where you need it.
It's awesome!!

I think its your foundation. I used the fit me foundation also it sucks, especially for oily skin. Besides setting powder and setting spray a good foundation is key. Revlon colorstay has good staying power, I hear mac pro long wear and the kat von d foundation are great.

Try blotting your foundation after applying it. Blot with a tissue though and then set your makeup. Hope that helps :)

I've tried so many foundation, powder, and primer combos that I should be a chemist by now, lol, but what I've found that works for me is first using Victoria Secrets Prime Time spray, it's like a before and after spray, then I use Smashbox 18 hour foundation, set with Coty's Translucent powder or Cover Girl Translucent powder, then lightly spray again with the Prime Time to set. I must say, this has been the ONLY thing that worked for me, even after a night of going out with the ladies or date night with My Love, I still look fresh as when it was first applied. I have oily T-zone and acne prone skin and no problems with irritation since I started this regimen. Smashbox comes in a variety of shades for ethnic skin, and although it's pricier than the above mentioned products, it's definitely worth the splurge to me!! Hope you find something that works for you and let us know!!
