I suggest if you can go to a makeup counter like Mac or ulta. I'd have time test shades on you so that when you do buy one you have an idea what you'd like! It helps me a lot to test out makeup before I buy.

I'm guessing your in your 20's, so fine lines are not a big issue yet. Remember that concealers are made for the face and others are made specifically for the under eye area. If you see creasing or lines around the eyes, you need a concealer designed specifically for that area. My picks for concealer are Make up forever waterproof concealer for the face, and Laura Mercier secret concealer for the under eye area. Concealer around the eyes needs setting powder for the best staying powder. The best in my experience is NARS translucent pressed powder. Loose powder is way too easy to over do in that area.
Once my concealer is
on, I use a fluffy drug store brush and sweep it. If you have severe creasing in the under eye area, try a good eye cream first before you apply concealer. If the area still has darkness, try a corrector after eye cream but before the concealer. Laura mercier orange/yellow corrector is perfect. Blend it all out with a cosmetic wedge verses a brush also helps, but do use a brush to apply the powder.
