Hey so I have really dry skin and I'm having a hard time picking out good make up that doesn't make my skin look flakey. Any suggestions?

I have some super dry patches and I use 2 faced bb cream and it doesn't cling to my flakey patches and moisturizes pretty well

Do you exfoliate? I normally do twice a week or so to make sure I have no dry patches. Use a good non oil based moisturizer, then a primer (I used Smashbox), followed by a liquid foundation/tinted moisturizer (I used Urban Decay for foundation and NARS for my tinted moisturizer). The only powder I've ever used and liked is the Smashbox Halo. It's expensive ($60) but it's a hydrating powder. I know it makes no sense, but it doesn't feel like a normal powder putting it on and it's not drying at all.
