Hi girls. I used to love black polish, and regularly wore it afew years ago. I decided to try it again. Do you think its still 'on trend'? Or can you suggest another dark colour. Thanks :-)

Black nail polish IMO is in the same class as the classic red or nude...its never out of style.

Thanks ladies. I really appreciate your feedback. What brand of top coat would you suggest to help prevent it chipping. There is nothing worse than chipped nails, but with my job, the colour doesn't seem to last long :-(

Avon UV gloss guard top coat seems to be fairly heavy duty chip resistant for me. I buy this stuff in bulk when its on sale. I've tried everything else. its not bomb proof, but it holds up well and putting another coat over a chip, seamlessly blends in. and I LOVE black nail polish!!

I just wore it this month for the 1st time. I read it is considered a classic color now. All the new holiday collections have a black in them. I think it's pretty mainstream now.

I wear black polish too:) also good colors are navy blue, dark gray, and a deep deep burgendy:) they look black from afar but up close you can see the actual color:) hope this helps.

Not straight black but really dark colors such as blue, maroon, etc.that are basically black with a hint of color. I feel off if I don't have almost black nail polish.
