Honestly, I would first practice with cheaper sponges then buy one. Because I bought I used it a few times and now I completely eliminated foundation from my makeup routine. But the few time a I did use it I likes the sharp edge for the corner of my under eyes.

Yes yes yes! That being said, I actually own a knockoff that I bought from Marshall's for like $4 but when it's lifespan is up I plan on purchasing the real Beauty Blender.
It gives you this really dewy and airbrushed finish to your foundation. I notice when I use brushes sometimes your foundation can look a little flat and streaky. Not with the BB.
The only con is having to wet it before use. It really doesn't work that well with foundation if it's not damp. Also, cleaning it is a bitch. You can purchase the Beauty Blender cleaner online but I didn't want to spend any money so I've been washing it with a mild dish soap and rinsing it really well, which works pretty well.

Totes worth it! I love my beauty blender. It leaves a flawless application and I even use less product. It's super simple to use and its great for powders and shadows too! I haven't tried cleaning it with anything but the solid beauty blender soap and that cleans it really good and leaves it smelling fresh and it works just as great with brushes(:

I have dupes and the real Beauty blender this is the best way I would describe it the BB texture is like a microphone cover it's light and bounces off with ease and compared to many of the other knock off's I tried it is not like anything else the knock off's are a bit firmer and stiff some are a tad softer but Not like the actual Beauty Blender. Now that being said a BB or a knock off is not my preferred go to for a finish on makeup for myself because I like my foundation to be applied with my flat foundation brush but I use it once in awhile to help diminished some left over product on the face. I do recommend it for those who want a nice soft finish. I recommend the Real Deal if you choose to buy a Beauty Blender and it washes with ease compare to the dupes which it never fails soak up the products and very difficult to clean.I only use the dupes for my extreme makeup painting because of the firmness.
