What made you want to be a make-up artist and at what age did you decide you wanted to be a make-up artist?

I was about 27, I'm a young 39 now. :) Kinda fell into it and loved it.

I started doing makeup and getting paid for it when i was 13. I ' officially' went pro when I was 16...I was living. on my own by then. I was the only girl among my brothers and cousins until I was in my 20s so I was sent to charm school modeling school and 'finishing' school (really a combo of the previous 2) so I was surrounded by makeup and was the fam doll when I was a kid...I've. always loved makeup and knew it would be a facet of my career from an early age.

I got into nails at 9. Got into skin at 14. Got into make up at 16. They all go hand in hand thats the funny thing. I used to play with makeup alot and I realized I just got really good at it :)

My mother sold Mary Kay (--I know, I know), but my passion was hair! After doing hair at Aveda and becoming freelance I was always asked to do makeup. I will definitely say it was a skill that I had, but didn't have love for at first... after picking up the brush and hearing my clients reactions, thats when the publications rolled in. I haven't put down my makeup brushes since.
