Is the beauty blender worth it? I'm making a list of makup products to buy when I receive my Christmas money and I want to know if it's as good as people say it is. Also, what other products should I buy? Mainly eyeshadow pallets and brushes so far.

I hear it's worth it but Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is a great dupe. You can get inspiration from my list:
-Real Techniques starter kit, core collection brushes and miracle sponge total: $43
-Lorac Pro Palette $42
-Ben Nye banana or topaz powder less than $10
-wet n wild megalast lipstick in Ravin raisin and cherry bomb
-NYX lip liners and jumbo pencil in milk
- multipack of Ardell demi wispies

I think it's ok to buy it if you have everything else, but you can live with out it)

Honestly I've purchased beauty blenders as well as knock off versions before and I feel in the long run they are practically the same thing but cheaper yes beauty blenders are the best but for the price a knock off will generally give you the same effect. I would but the money saved from buying a knock off to the Lorac Pro Pallet like Symone said because it's one of my favorites as well (:

I have dupes and the real Beauty blender this is the best way I would describe it the BB texture is like a microphone cover it's light and bounces off with ease and compared to many of the other knock off's I tried it is not like anything else the knock off's are a bit firmer and stiff some are a tad softer but Not like the actual Beauty Blender. Now that being said a BB or a knock off is not my preferred go to for a finish on makeup for myself because I like my foundation to be applied with my flat foundation brush but I use it once in awhile to help diminished some left over product on the face. I do recommend it for those who want a nice soft finish. I recommend the Real Deal if you choose to buy a Beauty Blender and it washes with ease compare to the dupes which it never fails soak up the products and very difficult to clean.I only use the dupes for my extreme makeup painting because of the firmness.

They're okay, but they're mostly the same. no matter what brand. except some more expensive than others.

Get a dupe.. or just use reg sponges. I like the wedge sponges better. I hardly pull out that bb..
