Hey Beauties,
I've always been a lip balm girl, only occasionally wearing gloss or lipstick - I eat and drink and talk a lot, so it always comes off and I never bother reapplying. However, I've recently started playing with lipsticks and am working on my application.
I have dry lines and ridges in my lips and my lipstick seems to always settle into them. I have tried prepping with a gentle scrub, applying balm, primer, and a mild plumper beforehand - the lines are still there and the lipstick still sinks into them - it's pretty visible. Is there any lip ridge filler product I can easily get? Any other remedies?
I love looking at all the photos posted on this site and always wonder how everyone gets such perfect, full, smooth lips! Especially under matte lipstick. Please share the secret!

I usually exfoliate, put concealer around & blend it in (helps me identify the shape of my lips) put some lip balm, then line the lips & fill them in with the lip liner, it makes it a base for the lipstick to stick to

You can also try lip primers! OCC, Too Faced and Urban Decay all make really good ones :)

Also try Bite Beauty lip primer (and their other lip products are all fantastic!)

Thanks girls. I went the cheap route and got the elf double-ended primer/plumper. The plumper is just like a cinnamon scented balm, doesn't make my lips plump. And the primer is like concealer lol. Guess I should have gone for the nicer brands like occ or bite beauty.

I have the OCC and I love how it works, but everything is relative you know? So I'm sure you'll find what works for you :)
