It didn't change color at all. I used a cherrywood color box dye to try to ombre the black hair. how can I lighten it? I'm supposed to get my hair weaved saturday. what can I do?

Bleach? Or use a blonde or brown color first then put that color on top.

If you're trying to lighten the color mix together hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, use a tint brush to apply it to the hair and then wrap the pieces in aluminum foil. It'll lighten. You can also use peroxide and developer. I did it on my hair earlier this summer and it lifted. Make sure you deep condition the hell out of your hair between applications though, cause if you don't some serious breakage can occur.
