Hi everyone! This is my first time on here, but I heard that this is a good place where pros gather! So, I wanted to introduce myself to all of you...my name is Melissa Street and I have been a makeup artist in the film and television industry for the past 20 years. I started a company with another veteran film artist, Kim Greene, called Greene Street Beauty and we just released our first beauty app for the iPhone/iPad/iPod - it is available on iTunes right now.

This app is a customizable face chart app. You can upload a picture of your bride, client, model, actor or yourself and then choose different facial features to personalize the face chart to look like the person sitting in your makeup chair. Kim and I do not like using face charts that have no real human features - it makes is hard to imagine the look on your actual client so we developed an app to solve that issue.

You can print the app with or without a notes section and then use it just like you would a traditional makeup chart. The app is already being used by Department Head Makeup Artists on several television series and they like to drop our app into other apps like Evernote, Notability or Skitch in order to type the products directly onto the face chart prior to printing. This is a great way to keep continuity.

We also have several bridal artists who love the app for designing a look for their brides and then they have given the makeup chart to them as a gift so that the bride can recreate her wedding day makeup look.

The app also contains our corrective makeup tips and techniques, which is great for students or beauty enthusiasts who need to reference proper placement of contour and highlight on certain facial features.
