My nails were pretty long then they started peeling at the ends. That made them break and now they're really short but still peeling at the ends. What should I do to help correct this? I'm scares they're just going to get shorter and shorter.

Use natural oils, such as olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil or argan oil, and use a q tip to rub on some oil onto the nail and cuticle every night. Within days you'll notice more strength and less cracking cuticles and less peeling nails. Also, take a break from wearing nail polish. The chemicals from the polish and remover will only make things worse. Do the oil treatment for a week or so then see how it goes. Hope this helped :)

If you do the washing up try to wear gloves because strong detergents can do this to your nails. I second the advice that Vanessa gave you too!!

Calcium helps that too. I use a calcium nailpolish under my coloured one and virtually got rid of peeling. sally and viva la diva, opi, trind and others carry this kind of stuff just for peeling nails. acetone can cause that since it dries the nails. or just being rough on them. you bumb your hands a lot against stuff? also above advice is a given. moisturize moisturize.
