Hey girls, I do know the basics but I was wondering what products and brushes do you most like using for highlighting and contouring, where do you highlight? Where do you contour? How much difference does it actually make to YOUR face? x

I contour my face in the hollows of my cheeks when you make a fishy face, using a matte bronzer and a angled face brush or fan brush. I also contour on my temples slightly on the side of my nose too. I think it does slim down my face a lot. I highlight on my cupids bow using a powder highlight, ( a white shiny eyeshadow works too ) and my cheek bones.

Hey girl!
I personally feel like it makes a HUGE difference... Putting my foundation on can totally make my face look flat & blah me out... and adding a countour/highlight/blush combo makes ALL the difference in the world! At the very least, I put on blush and make sure I blend well into my cheekbones! I made a video on this and how I contour!
Favorite contour shade: MAC Blush in "Blunt" (it's the perfect matte color)
Favorite highlight shade: Benefit's Moonbeam (it's a liquid, but it's gorgeous!)
Xoxo,
Carlene

I see a huge difference when I contour my face. I use the fishy face technique to contour my cheekbones. I also contour my nose, under my chin & temples. It definitely does bring dimension back to my face. I normally use an angled blush brush. When I highlight, I highlight my cheekbones, cupids bow & sometimes the bridge of my nose.

Does anyone have any YouTube tutorials they watch showing the techniques?

contouring your face can be challenging without the right brush. using an angled fluffy brush or a blush brush is usually best. for contouring, i use any matte product like a bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, foundation, or powder that is a couple shades darker then my skin. as for highlighting, i use any brush and any shimmer eyeshadow that is a white, tan, or pink.
the point of highlighting and contouring is to define ones face.
