Is it only the pro stores that do your makeup for you? I have heard that if you go to a MAC store they give you a makeover but is that only in certain stores? And does someone have to be a professional makeup artist work there?
Also share your experiences and if the customer service is good too? I want to do work experience there if I can (am I allowed?) but im not sure if the people there are makeup artists. thanks x

No the PRO stores are not the only ones that do makeup for you -- Regular MAC stores & MAC Nordstrom stores will do your makeup, but usually it's for a certain dollar amount towards makeup. I believe last time I looked sitting down and getting a full face of makeup costs about $50 in the Seattle area, but you can use that amount towards purchasing product :)
I don't think you have to be a professional makeup artist either, I have a friend that just has a regular college communication degree and she just got a job there - pretty sure they train you!
The customer service can vary depending on who is helping you... And sometimes they can be a little pushy because they definitely are working off commission so make sure you are firm if you don't want to purchase something you tried, then don't. And always keep your receipt so you can return product if you end up not liking it!
Make sure you go to pick up and application with your makeup looking good -- and go to the interview looking amazing too -- your face is going to be your advertisement of your own makeup skills!
Good luck girl!

I'm sorry but I found that last part way too funny. You aren't sure if the people that work there are makeup artists? Maybe you should consider a different career choice...

I just wasn't sure if they ALL were I knew the majority are just wondering... And I'm sorry I have been working on my makeup skills for so long because my heart is absolutely set on my career choice and I will not budge :D

Toshira, I think Christina meant she isn't sure if she has to be a certified beautician to work there or not... As in go to beauty school, graduate, pass your board exams, etc...

Sorry most of that didn't make sense. Let me rephrase
"I wasn't sure if they ALL were makeup artists but I knew the majority were. And I have been working on my makeup skills and collection for so long because my heart is set on my career choice and I will not budge :D

There is a thread on here about Macs customer service being updated like every ten minutes. Read that...
