Eyelash help PLEASE?

Not to be ungrateful.. But my eyelashes are too long and too thick.

Yes, I know, every girls dream. But they're so heavy to the point that they hurt my eyelids. I can't wear mascarra (sometimes on special occasions) and they aren't like BLACK BLACK so they don't complete a look super greatly. Idk I just, I'd rather have normal sized lashes and be able to wear mascara.
Does anyone know a way to thin/ cut lashes?

Sorry it's dark and they're sort of messy cuz I haven't brushed them hahaha, but not sure how that'll help

Just cut them. Try to cut only a couple at a time so they're not all in a straight line.

Well I asked my eye doctor because I originally thought something was wrong with my eyes but no that's exactly what she told me, no solution or anything :(
