I have a thick coat of nail polish on my nails, and I only have acetone based nail polish remover. I want to take it off to do some nail strengthening and let them breathe.
What would be the lesser of two evils, peeling it off, or soaking them in acetone?
Thanks ladies! :)

I would do acetone...when I peel off my polish and pick at my nails the top layer comes off with the polish and my nails hurt :(

They're both kinda bad. I would just make sure to apply nail oil or vitamin E capulets on them afterwards.

Use acetone. I like the ones that nourish as they remove polish, I believe they make some that strengthen too. Peeling nailpolish can actually peel off layers of your nail! Leaving them flimsy, uneven, and definitely not strong!

Acetone, though they both are awful.
