Hi all! I have a hair problem. I wanted to grow it out to about my mid-back, but I had to get a trim so it wouldn't be layered anymore, because my layered hair was too frizzy. So my hairdresser discovered that whoever cut my hair before (I don't know who honestly) cut it UNEVEN! The right side was about an inch or so longer than the left. Now, at first I only wanted a tiny trim to cut off the split ends, but she ended up having to cut off and inch and a half. Now my hair is right above my shoulder blades. Like I said, I want to grow it out to my mid-back. How long will this take if I get occasional cuts and what can I do to help grow my hair out?? PLEASE HELP!!
Thank you all for reading :D

Hair grows an average of 1/2 an inch a month, it can grow faster or slower for some people, you can take biotin pills and folic acid to help speed up the process :)

My hair grows pretty quickly. in 3 years its gone from a short pixie cut to being nearly down to my waist. I only wash it once every 3-4 days, leave it air dry. I only use a hair straightener about once a month tops for special occasions and when I'm going to bed I put it into 2 loose braids to stop it gettin tangled and damaged. my hairdresser said they've probably contributed to my quick hair growth. I grew trims every 4-5 monthd aswell as my ends don't suffer much damage from my routine.

Give your scalp a massage every day for 10 minutes and flip your head upside down for about 2 minutes to get the blood circulating around the follicles. Eat eggs and poultry for protein, your hair is protein so it requires it to grow. Drink plenty of water to hydrate and eat plenty almonds, fish and dark green vegetables. Biotin also helps, and check your iron intake too. And make sure to maintain the health and moisture of your hair using hydrating hair masks, like the Moroccan argan oil hair mask from Pro Naturals, that’s what helped me a lot.

@Vivienne I have low iron but I'm taking pills at the moment so that should help.
