Just bought the occ lip tar in cha cha, I do love the color. But...I am disappointed because I was under the impression it would dry into a matte finish and stay put for hours. The finish is almost like a semi gloss, it is kind of slippery and doesn't completely dry. Not only that but I have to use a lip liner other wise the lip tar is far more slippery. Idk I'm dissatisfied with this product and will be returning it.

How much are you applying? You only need about the size of a pin head, I've found that if I use too much I have similar results. You also might roll it in your hands briefly to make sure it's mixed, they naturally seperate and it might be that you're getting more of oils. Hope this helps, I really love my lip tars.

I've never had that problem w mine. It does exactly what you said you expected in fact...dries matte & stays put. Idk, maybe StacyAnn is right, using too much?

Sounds like you're applying way too much. It only takes a super tiny amount to get what you desire. I learned that the hard way. My lips came out looking like Wanda from "In Living Color". lol.

You're using too much product. lip tars do dry matte and stay put when you use them correctly.
