How do I choose the proper foundation for me?

I've never used foundation in my entire life Now that I have imperfections, I want to cover them up. My problem is that my face is the same color as my arms and legs, but my neck is darker then my face and my chest. My chest is lighter then my face & neck. Whatever shall I do!! /:

I'd suggest getting matched with a foundation that matches your face. When you apply it, bring it down to your neck. You could use a bronzer on your face and chest to somewhat match the rest of your skin since youve mentioned those areas to be the lighest.
