I'm going to the fair on a date, need ideas for an outfit.

Depends on the weather :)
I would go with a cute plain top. I'm sure you have one most likely. If it is warm wear shorts if its not wear pants. Wear simple jewelry but I wouldn't wear a necklace (thats if it is one of the fairs with rides and if you go on them). If it doesn't have ride or you don't go on them and cute little dress would be fine too.
