I have a law enforcement job recruitment event on Wednesday. I will not be interviewed but I will be meeting with the recruiters to get my name out there. I don't want to dress to girly but not to boyish either. I want to be balanced. Any outfit ideas?

Wear a pant suit , a blazer & some matching pants that fit great will give you the perfect balance that you're looking for.

I agree with Yary a dress will be too much.

A suit is a must and even more important, get it tailored! I would go for a neutral color so you can mix and match it very easily. black and navy exute the most authority, however, greys and beiges are perfectly fine. a trouser cut for the pants is also the most universally flattering.

I'm a police officer, wouldn't suggest a dress. Pant suit. Black or navy.
