Nail Grown In Skin Help It Hurts!

I know it sounds gross but the nail on my thumb has grown into my skin on the left I got my mum to file it away from the skin but it hurts a lot! is there anything else I can do before I book a doctors appointment please help,thanks!

I have the same problem just like so many people.. I had my cousin, she is a nail artist, to file my nail and she removed the nail that was going into my skin.. go for a manicure and don'are worry!

I don't know if I will be able to get a manicure anytime soon! I got my mum to file it but now it looks weird and still hurts :(
