I think eyeliner looks good extended out to the tear duct however, every time I try it it ends up smudged in an unflattering way and when my eyes water it just looks terrible... how do y'all avoid it?

You definitely need a waterproof liner. And it also depends on the eye shape. Just do some searching on google, find your eye shape and replicate that. I like the look too and haven't perfected it for my eye shape either! Hope this helps!

Tips:
- try lining with a water proof pencil
- go over it with a waterproof liquid or gel liner
-if your eyes water, take a moment stop. Close your eye and dab with a q-tip.
- set the liner with a black eyeshadow

My eyes water constantly, and it makes the extended part just look like gunk build up :(

Sorry if this is too obvious, but have you tried a waterproof eyeliner?
Also, I highly recommend you using a felt tip liner. And make sure to set your eyes with setting spray. If you find your STILL not happy, try setting it with an eyeshadow of the same color.

My eyes tend to be watery as well, I use Stila's Stay All Day Eyeliner which is in a pen felt tip form. I absolutely love it! It stays all day long even when my eyes get watery. Plus it makes doing a winged liner super easy :)

Also try using Visine eye drops :)

Essence has a good cheap one for $1.28 which is a steal! I looove it, but it creases INSANELY easy so you either have to let it dry by leaving your eyes closed or just clean up the crease with a qtip.
