Should I go back to my other hair color?

So in June I used splat in crimson obsession on my hair and the color was great. It lasted a while and when it faded became a bright red with pink highlights. But... It stained my scalp so badly! I looked like I had been in an accident! I went back to using garnier nutrisse in light intense auburn but its just not exciting or as beautiful as the other purple-red color I got from splat. So is having a stained scalp for a while with amazing color better than a clean scalp with color that fades pretty quickly?

I would say having a clean sculp :) being red/crimson is hard to maintain as you have to dye it heaps to keep the color there.. but defo keep your scalp clean :)

Instead of using Splat how about you try Raw. Still a bright color but less staining
