I have to buy mini skirts because regular skirts I'm drowning in
At the same point there's a restriction with tops and bottoms because I would still like to maintain class.
I don't mind showing off some leg or shoulders but - do you kind of get my dilemma?
If your short, what do you wear?
I know a lot of people think petite means 'small all over' but thats not necessarily the case.

I usually just shop petite sizes even tho I'm a size 16 pants I can still get them in petite hems that are only 30-32" long for skirts I stick with knee length or shorter but most skirts these days are short enough to look longer on the short girls - I'm 5'2 which isn't that bad but still if I wear normal hem clothes its too long.

I'm pretty sure you can find a cute skater skirt for a fun and flirty look. Pair with with a nice classy blouse or tank for a polished look.

I understand how hard it is to find clothes to fit you when you're petite. I'm under 5feet. I usually wear regular sized clothes as opposed to petite sizes because I have larger boobs and butt. However my waist is too small for a lot of things. I wear lots of leggings or skinny jeans. They seem to fit me well. As for dress pants, I just get them hemmed. Dresses can be hard because they won't be the right length for me while giving me enough support for my top. Did you want to know opinions on something more specific?

Lol yea I know what you mean. I'm like Diana and I know what you mean @Brianna being petite is not small all over lol. Cuz I definitely aint small all over. I got curves n a lot of em.
As for dressy clothes I actually can find a good amount of dresses that would look super short on someone taller then myself so I get away with having dresses either knee length or slightly above/below. Same with skirts.
As for casual clothes it's a lil harder for me like for instance jeans are almost always too long for me. They do sell the sizes short in some brands you just have to search. I know I got a pair of Levis not in regular but Short lol n it fit perfect! No hemming involved! And just depends on the tops, sometimes I can get away with wearing a regular size but then other times I have to stick to my Petite sizes.
So just depends on what the style n brand is. Cuz sometimes they run bigger or smaller.
I know it's a pain in the butt lol but that's why wen I go shopping I take a whole day to do it so I can try on just about EVERYTHING to see what works for me personally. N everything else that I wanna make work I just take to get it altered lol :^)

Hi Brianna
A pencil skirt is always a safe bet for a classy look and it works for petites of most shapes. A well tailored maxi dress can also be very flattering.
It's best to shop specialist petite clothes because it's specifically cut for shorter women (but still comes in many sizes not just XS). Many brands offer Petite ranges, including J Crew, Banana Republic, GAP, Asos.com. There are also specialist online shops like Allison Izu, Paige Denim, The 16 Bar and The Petite Store.
Visit my London-based blog www.bombpetite.com for more petite ideas.

What, do you ladies, consider too short for skirts/dresses in public?
What rules do you use to know if its too short, besides if your bum cheeks are exposed?
